This page explains what HyoNova payroll is intended to be, so you can see how it will fit with the rest of your company in HyoNova.
What is planned#
HyoNova payroll is planned as the place where a company prepares, reviews and approves pay for its members, connected to the people already in its HyoNova workspace.
| Planned part | What it would do |
|---|---|
| Payroll model | Pay details for each employee, linked to their member record in People |
| Payroll periods | The period each run covers, such as a month |
| Payroll runs | Calculate pay for everyone in a period, then review the results |
| Approvals | An authorised person approves a run before any money moves |
| Payout | Send approved pay to employees through an external provider |
| Payroll figures in Reports | Net pay per period for the owner |
A run is designed to move through clear steps — prepared, calculated, reviewed, approved, then paid — so that nothing is paid without an explicit approval. The exact steps may change before release.
An external provider is required#
Who will have access#
Payroll is the most sensitive information in a company. In HyoNova's built-in roles:
- Owners hold every payroll permission.
- Admins have every permission except payroll, so they will not see pay data.
- Managers, employees and restricted members have no payroll access.
This matches how Finance restricted records work today. See Roles and permissions.
What is available today#
Nothing related to payroll. There is no salary field in People, no payroll area in the company workspace, and no payroll metric in Reports.
