Multiple floors

Today: one floor per office#

Every office template in HyoNova — from the small Café Office to the Company Campus — is built on a single floor, and so is an office you start empty. Template cards show the number of floors, and for every template today that number is one.

A single floor already holds a lot: rooms, open work areas, lounges and a reception, with a capacity set per room. Larger templates spread out across one wide floor instead of stacking levels. See Worlds and spaces.

Where you would notice floors#

HyoNova is designed with floors in mind, so a few parts of the interface already refer to them:

• The map. The map's subtitle reads People, rooms and floors. Buttons to switch floors appear on the map only when an office has more than one floor, so today you do not see them. See Map and search.
• Room and search details. Rooms show the name of their floor, for example in search results and in the Rooms tab of the map.
• Template cards. Each card lists its number of floors.

The office builder has no tool for adding floors. See Office builder.

How floors already shape the office#

Every rule in the office is already defined per floor:

• Nameplates show only people on your floor.
• Spatial voice only connects people on the same floor, and never through room walls. See Proximity and voice.
• Seats, doors and objects respond only to people on the same floor.

What is planned#

See Coming to HyoNova for other planned office capabilities.
