Credit operations
Read a company's Mail, Sign and Serene balances and ledger, grant, correct or reverse capacity with a reason and step-up, and follow capacity, pack sales and AI cost across the platform.
On this page
Every company has a wallet per resource — MAIL, SIGN, SERENE, and later AI_SUPPORT_OUTCOME and AI_VOICE. Operators follow capacity across the platform in Control Center at Payments & billing › Capacity & credits, and see and correct one company's wallets on that company's Billing tab. Nothing ever sets a balance directly: every change is an operation recorded in an append-only ledger.
How a wallet is built#
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
| Lots | Each grant or purchase is a lot with a pool, an amount, what remains, an optional expiry date and its source (plan promotion, trial, included allowance, purchase with its invoice and payment, operator) |
| Pools | promotional, trial, included (monthly Serene allowance), purchased, adjustment |
| Operations | One row per business action — grant, consumption, reversal, refund, adjustment, expiry — with its source, actor, reason and request key |
| Ledger | The effect of each operation on each lot, with the lot balance after it |
| Promotional ceilings | The highest lifetime promotional amount a company has reached per resource. It never decreases, so plan changes cannot farm promotional capacity |
Capacity is spent from the lot that expires first, and lots without expiry last. A balance can never go below zero. Operations and the ledger cannot be edited or deleted — a correction is always a new operation.
A company's commercial view#
Open a company in Control Center and choose its Billing tab. Capacity & credits, Capacity lots and the Credit ledger show, for every resource:
- the balance by pool, what expires within 90 days and the next expiry date;
- every lot with its source, invoice and payment, and its status (active, exhausted, expired, reversed);
- the latest operations, with who did them and why, and which ones were reversed;
- the promotional ceilings reached and the plan that reached them;
- usage meters for the current monthly cycle, and AI runs, Serene credits used and their internal cost.
Change a balance#
The actions are Grant credits, Correct balance and Reverse (on a ledger operation). All three need billing.manage, a step-up and a reason. Each is audited (billing.credits.grant, billing.credits.adjust, billing.credits.reverse) and carries a request key: repeating the same request returns the first result instead of acting twice.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Grant | Adds a new lot of a resource to the promotional or adjustment pool, with an optional validity in days (none = no expiry). An operator grant does not change the company's promotional ceiling. |
| Correct | A positive amount adds an adjustment lot without expiry. A negative amount removes available capacity in spending order; removing more than is available is refused. |
| Reverse | Undoes one operation, at most once. A consumption is given back to the lots it came from (capacity of a lot that has expired meanwhile is not restored). A grant, purchase or positive correction loses its unused remainder. Other operations cannot be reversed. |
Consumed capacity is never "un-consumed" by reversing the grant it came from: only what remains in that lot is removed.
Refunds of capacity packs#
A pack is refunded from the payment, like any refund — see Refunds, bank confirmations and credits. The refundable amount of a pack payment is limited to its unused share, and when the refund completes, the matching credits are removed from the pack's lot as a REFUND operation, once per refund.
What a company can and cannot do itself#
Product features of a company — sending a campaign, sending a signature request, running an AI request — can only consume capacity, and give back their own consumption when the work is not delivered. The database refuses anything else from a company's context: grants, purchases, refunds, adjustments, expiry and new lots happen only in HyoNova's billing core, its worker and operator actions. Every wallet table is also isolated per company.
Platform overview#
Payments & billing › Capacity & credits shows, since the start of the month:
- outstanding capacity by resource and pool, and how many companies hold it;
- pack sales by resource and currency (never summed across currencies);
- capacity consumed by resource, and the ten largest consumers;
- AI runs, Serene credits used and their internal cost;
- usage meters recorded this month. Some meters, such as recording uses, exist for cost and fair use only and are never billed per unit.
