You are an Owner if you created your company in HyoNova, or another owner gave you the role. Owners hold every permission, including payroll, restricted finance records and billing changes, and a company always has at least one owner.

What you'll do#

  • Create the company and its office.
  • Invite the first members and decide who becomes an admin or manager.
  • Shape access with standard and custom roles.
  • Decide whether visitors can enter your offices, and how.
  • Run the company from Company administration: team, access, workspace, company profile and billing.
  • Check who changed what in the audit log, and keep your own account secure.

Your path#

  1. Create your company — sign up at https://app.hyonova.com/sign-up with your name, work email, password, company name and Country, or claim a trial office you started at https://app.hyonova.com/start. After sign-up, the welcome steps take you through your profile, your character, microphone and camera, your office world and inviting your team.
  2. Choose your world — pick the right office template for your team size.
  3. Invite your first team — create invitations from People with Invite. Invitees open the link and join in one step: they create a password (or enter their existing one) and choose Accept and continue — nobody has to type a company ID or pick an office.
  4. Configure roles and permissions — pick admins and managers carefully, keep owners few, and build custom roles when a standard role gives too much or too little.
  5. Company administration — the Overview shows who is online, seats, pending approvals and what needs your attention. From there: Access → Roles and Permissions, Access → Guest policies to allow or stop guests, Company → Profile for the company name, language, country and time zone, and Billing to see your plan, seats and usage (read-only).
  6. Manage guest access — guest links with presets, host approval, and promoting a trusted guest to employee.
  7. Audit — Company → Audit log shows who invited, changed roles, edited the company or let guests in.
  8. Security — how sessions, passwords and your company's data are protected.
  9. Finance — the read-only finance overview, where owners see every record.

When your team is set up, the guide for admins covers the day-to-day administration you can hand over.

Keep your own account secure#

  • Change your password in Settings → Access → Sign-in & Security. Saving a new password signs you out of your other browsers.
  • Forgot your password? On the sign-in page, choose Forgot your password? and HyoNova emails you a link that works once for 30 minutes. This is in Beta. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder. See Sign-in and invitations.
  • Keep two owners. If one owner cannot sign in, the other can still act for the company. Nobody in your company can reset another member's password.

Still to come#
