Customize your office

Change your character, set theme, accent, on-screen controls and language, and understand what the office builder — in Preview, saved only in your browser — can do today.

There are three different things you can customize in HyoNova, and they are saved in different places. Knowing which is which avoids surprises.

Your character#

Your character is how colleagues see you in the office.

Open My character. Choose My character at the bottom of the rail, or search for Change my character with Ctrl + K.
Start from a look. Under Looks, pick a complete starting look — there are fourteen, from Business and Developer to Gulf woman and Abaya.
Change the details. Use the tabs — Hair, Facial hair, Tops, Bottoms, Outerwear, Shoes, Headwear, Accessories and Body — to change pieces, colours, skin tone and height. The preview can play standing, walking, sitting and waving.
Save. Choose Save appearance. Reset to look undoes your changes to the starting look.

You can also change your Display name, character and Language under Settings › Profile in the company workspace. More in Your character.

Your settings#

Open Settings from the bottom of the rail, or press Esc when nothing else is open. "Changes save automatically on this device."

Appearance
- Theme: Light, Dark or Match device.
- Accent color: Blue, Violet, Cyan, Green, Orange, Rose, Monochrome or Custom — or Use the workspace color to follow your company's brand colour.
- Language and size: Language switches between English and العربية (Arabic turns the whole interface right-to-left); Interface scale makes text and controls larger or smaller.
- Panels: the tint and opacity of the glass behind menus.
- On-screen controls: a Layout of Minimal, Balanced, Full or Custom, and Fade controls after 3 seconds without activity.
Audio & devices: world sounds, microphone, speaker and video camera, with Test microphone and Preview camera.
World view: your default Perspective, turn speed and zoom speed.
Graphics quality: Auto, Low, Medium, High or Ultra, plus render scale, shadows and smooth edges. Lower settings run smoother on older computers.
Controls: the list of keyboard and mouse shortcuts.
Accessibility: Reduce motion and Stronger panel contrast.

Because these settings stay on the device, set them again if you use HyoNova on another computer. Details are on The world interface.

The office builder#

The office builder lets you rearrange the office: draw walls, glass and doors, create rooms, and place furniture from the asset library. It is in Preview.

Who can open it#

In a company office, Owners and Admins — choose Build office in the rail, or search for Start build mode.
In the trial, anyone can open it.

Use the builder today to explore layouts and try ideas. Do not rely on it to change the office your team works in. Everything the builder can do is described in Office builder, and how drafts and local versions work in Drafts and publishing.

Not available in the builder today: adding floors, lighting and environment settings, company branding such as a logo, and drawing zones.
