Serene credits

How HyoNova's AI capacity works — Serene credits included with each plan, Boosts, monthly reset, usage warnings, the owner budget cap and the limits on every AI request.

Serene credits are used by the Serene assistant (questions, Ask Serene, voice, chats with AI Employees) and the Mail AI designer, which work once HyoNova connects an AI provider. AI Employees are paid separately.

Every AI feature in HyoNova draws on one shared balance of Serene credits. Serene is not a separate subscription: credits come with your plan, and you can add more with a Boost. You see credits — never tokens, model names or vendor prices.

What a Serene credit is#

A Serene credit is HyoNova's unit of AI work. In HyoNova's internal accounting one credit stands for $0.001 of AI processing cost. Each request is counted from the work it actually did, rounded up, so a short request uses few credits and a long one more. Model and vendor prices can change behind the scenes without changing how you buy or read credits.

Credits included with your plan#

Free and trialBasicBusiness
Serene credits250, one time500 per paid seat per month2,000 per paid seat per month
  • One time on Free. Every company receives 250 trial credits once, including during the Business trial. They do not expire.
  • Monthly on paid plans. Basic and Business include credits for every paid seat, pooled across the company: a Business company with 12 seats has 24,000 credits a month for everyone to share.
  • Reset every month, on your billing date — also on annual plans. Included credits that are not used by the end of the month expire; they do not roll over.
  • Seat changes. Adding seats tops up the current month at once; removing seats lowers the allowance from the next month.
  • Included credits are granted only while the subscription is paid (or within its grace period after a failed payment). Trials and Free never receive monthly credits.

Enterprise capacity is arranged with HyoNova sales.

Boosts#

A Boost adds Serene credits on top of your plan. It is bought like any other capacity pack, and the credits are added when the payment is verified.

$258,000
$5017,500
$10037,500

Boost credits are valid for 12 months, and you are warned 90, 30 and 7 days before they expire. A Boost can be refunded only for its unused share.

The order credits are spent in#

HyoNova spends the credits that expire first: this month's included credits, then Boosts (soonest expiry first), then the one-time trial credits. See The order capacity is spent in.

Warnings and the budget cap#

  • Usage warnings. People who manage billing are told when the company has used 70%, 90% and 100% of this month's included credits — once per level and month.
  • Monthly budget cap. People who manage billing (Owners by default) can set a maximum number of Serene credits the company may use per month, in Company administration › Billing. When the cap is reached, AI requests are refused with The monthly Serene budget set by your company owner has been reached. until the next month or until the cap is raised. Without a cap, the company can use all the credits it has.

Every AI request has limits#

Every AI request runs as a bounded run, so a single request can never use more than it is allowed:

  • Reservation. Before the model is called, HyoNova sets aside the request's maximum from your balance. When the request ends, what it did not use is returned.
  • Per-request ceiling. Each AI workflow has a maximum number of credits per request — for example, one AI designer request is limited to a few hundred credits.
  • Tool, step and time limits. Each workflow has a limit on tool calls, repeated steps and running time, and a request that passes its deadline is stopped and its unused credits returned.
  • Efficient models first. Workflows use an efficient model by default and move to a stronger one only where the workflow allows it.

If the balance is empty, the request is refused before anything runs, and nothing is charged.

Automatic top-up#

Automatic top-up of Serene credits can be saved with your consent, off by default, but HyoNova does not charge automatically yet. See Automatic top-up.
