The Asset library holds everything you can place in an office: desks and chairs, sofas, storage, plants, lamps, screens, kitchen items, decor and more. Each item knows how it is placed — on the floor, against a wall, on a desk or table, or on the ceiling — so HyoNova can put it in a sensible spot and stop it from overlapping other things.

Who can use the library#

Owners and admins in a company office, and anyone in the trial office.

Find an item#

The library is on the side of the builder screen. The number next to Asset library is how many items match your current filters.

  • Search. Type in Search furniture, plants… to filter by name.
  • Categories. All, Furniture, Seating, Desks, Storage, Decor, Plants, Lighting, Tech, Kitchen, Walls, Floors, Doors and Zones. Only categories that contain items are shown.
  • Collections. All, Favorites, Recent (items you placed recently) and Most used. Mark an item as a favourite with the star on its tile.
  • Pack and style. Narrow the list to one asset pack (All packs) or one style (All styles): modern, corporate, creative, gulf, majlis or cafe.
  • Show more. The library shows 60 items at a time; select Show more to load the next ones.

Hover over a tile to see the item's name and footprint in metres. Favourites, recent items and usage counts are remembered in this browser.

Place an item#

  1. Pick the item. Click its tile, or drag the tile into the office. The Inspector shows the item's name and a Direction picker.
  2. Choose a direction. Select 0°, 90°, 180° or 270°, or press R to turn it by 90°.
  3. Place it. Move the pointer over the office. A green box shows a valid spot; a red box means the item cannot go there, and the hint strip explains why. Click to place it.
  4. Place more or finish. The tool stays active so you can place several copies. Select Finish placing, or press Esc, to return to Select.

When snapping is on, the item's position follows the grid. Furniture always stays upright and faces one of the four directions.

Where items can go#

PlacementHow it worksMessage if it does not fit
FloorStands on the floor inside the officeKeep the object inside the floor
WallSnaps against the nearest wall within 1 m, at its mounting height, facing into the roomPlace this object against a wall
Desk or tableSits on top of the desk, table or other surface you point at, and moves with itPlace this object on a desk or table / Keep the object on its parent surface
CeilingHangs from the ceiling above the point you click—

Items that block movement cannot overlap other solid items or walls. If they do, you see Overlaps followed by the other item's name, or Overlaps a wall. Items placed on a surface are attached to it: moving, duplicating or deleting the desk also moves, copies or removes what is on it.

After placing#

The item is selected, and the Inspector shows its name, position, direction, scale and — when the item offers them — material swatches. See Editing tools for moving, rotating, duplicating and deleting.

Objects in the shared office#

The objects in your company office — chairs you can sit on, doors, screens and more — are described in Objects. Items you place in the builder appear only in the layout on your own browser until shared publishing is available.
