Integrations
Connect Google Drive, OneDrive, GitHub, Slack and Microsoft Teams to your company, read what each card's state means, and see the services HyoNova provides.
On this page
Integrations in Company administration is where your company connects the tools it already uses: "Connect the tools your company already uses. Each card shows what is really connected right now." A card reads Connected only after a real authorisation or a real test succeeded — never because a setting was saved.
This page also covers the services HyoNova itself provides for every company — voice and video, and email — which you do not configure.
Open Integrations#
Open Company administration in the sidebar and choose Integrations.
Members do not need this page to link their own Drive or OneDrive files: they connect their own account in Files. See Google Drive and OneDrive files.
Services#
| Card | What it does | Before your company can use it | Read more |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calendar & Bookings | Booking types, availability, a public booking page and a widget for your website | Nothing. The card shows how many booking types are published and opens Bookings | Calendar & Bookings |
| Google Drive | Link chosen Drive files to projects, tasks and customers. Files stay in Google Drive | HyoNova must set up its Google application | Google Drive and OneDrive files |
| Microsoft OneDrive | Link chosen OneDrive files to projects, tasks and customers. Files stay in OneDrive | HyoNova must set up its Microsoft application | Google Drive and OneDrive files |
| GitHub | Link repositories to projects, and issues and pull requests to tasks. Code stays on GitHub | HyoNova must set up its GitHub App | GitHub |
| Slack | Send the notifications you choose to Slack channels | Nothing from HyoNova. An administrator adds a webhook from Slack | Slack and Teams notifications |
| Microsoft Teams | Send the notifications you choose to Teams channels through a workflow | Nothing from HyoNova. An administrator adds a workflow webhook from Teams | Slack and Teams notifications |
Each card shows its state, and once something is connected, how many connections are working, the time of the last success and, when there is a problem, a short code for the last problem. When your plan limits a service, the card shows how much is used.
What a card's state means#
| State | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Ready to connect | HyoNova has set the service up; nothing is connected for your company yet | Choose Connect |
| Needs setup by HyoNova | "HyoNova has not finished setting up this service yet. Nothing is needed from you; it will become available here." | Nothing. You cannot connect it yet |
| Needs your approval | The service is ready, and a person must approve it at the provider | Start the connection |
| Connecting | A connection was started and has not finished | Finish it at the provider, or start again |
| Connected | A real authorisation exists and the last check or delivery succeeded | — |
| Sign in again | The provider no longer accepts the stored authorisation | Choose Sign in again on the account |
| Delayed | The service is connected but has not been heard from for a while | Wait, or choose Check connection |
| Connection error | The last check or delivery failed | Open the card to see the last problem |
| Paused by your company | Someone in your company paused it | Choose Resume |
| Paused by HyoNova | "HyoNova paused this service for everyone for now. Your settings are kept." | Nothing. It resumes without action from you |
| Not in your plan | "Your plan does not include integrations." | See Plans & billing |
Personal and company connections#
Google Drive and OneDrive can be connected in two ways:
| My account | Company account | |
|---|---|---|
| Who connects it | Any member, for themselves | An Owner or Admin |
| Where | Files › Linked from Drive and OneDrive | Company administration › Integrations |
| Who can pick files with it | Only that member | People who manage integrations — by default, Owners and Admins |
| Who can see the account | Only that member | People who manage integrations |
"Your personal connection is yours: managers and owners cannot use it or see the account." This is enforced in the database, not only hidden on screen.
GitHub, Slack and Teams are always company connections.
What each connection can see#
| Service | What HyoNova is allowed to do | What it never does |
|---|---|---|
| Google Drive | Reach only the files the person picks in Google's own file window | Browse the rest of the Drive, read mail, or copy file contents |
| Microsoft OneDrive | Read access to the signed-in person's files, as Microsoft grants it. HyoNova lists only what the person browses and stores only the files they link | Change or delete files, or copy file contents |
| GitHub | Read repository names, and the titles and states of issues and pull requests in the repositories you choose on GitHub | Read code, write anything, or close a task by itself |
| Slack, Microsoft Teams | Post messages to the one channel your webhook points at | Read any message, channel or member |
HyoNova keeps the provider's authorisation and your webhook addresses in a secret store, encrypted. They are never shown again after you enter them and are not written to logs.
Disconnecting#
Open the card, and choose Disconnect on the account (or Remove channel for Slack and Teams). HyoNova forgets the authorisation or the webhook address. Nothing changes at the provider: your files, repositories and channels are not touched. Linked items stay listed in HyoNova and are marked as disconnected until you remove them.
You can also Pause and Resume a connection without removing it.
Other integrations#
Below the cards, Other lists three more entries with their real state:
| Entry | State |
|---|---|
| Hyo Mail webhooks | Configured, with a count, when your company has set up webhooks in Hyo Mail; otherwise Not configured |
| API keys | Not available |
| MCP | Not available |
Owners and admins also see a Connections tab in Settings: Integrations and providers, as they really are. It lists Meetings and Files — Connected when that module is on for your company, otherwise Not configured — and Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, API access and Webhooks, which show Not configured. See Company settings.
What HyoNova provides for every company#
HyoNova depends on a few specialised services of its own. It provides and connects them for every company: you do not sign up with a vendor, paste keys or configure anything.
| Service | What it powers | Who configures it |
|---|---|---|
| Managed media service (LiveKit) | Spatial voice, calls, meetings, camera video and screen sharing | HyoNova. Nothing to set up in your company. |
| Email delivery (Amazon SES) | Invitation emails, guest link emails, password reset emails and booking confirmations | HyoNova. Nothing to set up in your company. |
Media service#
Voice and video travel through a real-time media service that HyoNova runs and connects for you. The media service is in Beta during early access. Media is encrypted in transit; it is not end-to-end encrypted. See Security at HyoNova.
When the media service cannot be used, HyoNova tells people why, and text chat keeps working:
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| Calls are not set up yet. Text chat keeps working. | The media service is not connected for this environment. |
| Calls are turned off for your company. Text chat keeps working. | Calls are switched off for your company. |
| Calls are not included in your company plan. Text chat keeps working. | Your plan does not include calls. See Plans & billing. |
| Calls are unavailable right now. Text chat keeps working. | The service is temporarily unreachable. Try again later. |
Company administration › Overview lists Meetings and calls are not enabled on this server. under Needs attention when meetings cannot run. Meeting policy — recording, guest meetings, video and screen sharing defaults — is in Company administration › Communications. See Meetings.
Email delivery#
Invitation, guest link and password reset emails are sent by HyoNova. Each invitation shows its delivery state, for example Queued, Bounced or Manual link. You can always copy the invitation or guest link and share it yourself.
Company administration › Overview tells you when something needs action: Invitation emails could not be delivered. or Email sending is not enabled; share invitation links directly. See Email delivery problems.
Continue with Google#
Signing in with Google and connecting Google Drive are separate. Connecting Drive does not sign anyone in, and signing in with Google gives HyoNova no access to Drive.
Hyo Mail#
Hyo Mail has its own API keys and webhooks for sending transactional email from your systems. They are managed inside Mail, not on the Integrations page. See Hyo Mail.
What "Requires setup" means#
Some features in this documentation carry the status Requires setup. It means the feature is built, but it works only after a supporting service is configured. For Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive and GitHub, HyoNova does that configuration once for all companies — you do not — and the card reads Needs setup by HyoNova until it is done. After that, connecting is your company's own step. If a card stays at Needs setup by HyoNova and you need the service, contact HyoNova through Get help.
Coming next#
For developers#
Apart from Hyo Mail's transactional email API, HyoNova has no public API, company-wide API keys or MCP server for customers today. The integrations on this page are connected from the product, not through an API. See Developers.
