Payments & billing for platform operators
How HyoNova's platform team runs payments in Control Center — providers, routing, health, refunds, bank confirmations, dunning and reconciliation — and the rules every change follows.
On this page
This section is for HyoNova's own platform operators. It describes Payments & billing in Control Center, where HyoNova sells plans to companies and collects their payments. Companies use the other side of it in Plans & billing. For the platform side of HyoNova Support channels, see Customer support infrastructure. For the platform side of the Integration Hub, see Integration providers and monitoring.
Two systems, kept apart#
| Platform billing (this section) | Company finance | |
|---|---|---|
| Seller | HyoNova | A company using HyoNova |
| Buyer | A company | That company's own customers |
| Where | Control Center › Payments & billing; Company administration › Billing | The company's Finance |
| Payment accounts | HyoNova's provider accounts, configured here | None: companies record payments by hand |
The two never share records, credentials or ledgers. A company invoice can never be paid through a HyoNova payment account.
Providers at a glance#
| Provider | Method | Collects renewals | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| FastSpring | Card | Automatically (Merchant of Record, handles sales tax) | Supported · Ready to configure |
| PayPal | PayPal | Automatically | Supported · Ready to configure |
| Triple-A | Crypto | A HyoNova invoice each period | Supported · Ready to configure |
| Bank transfer (built into HyoNova) | Bank transfer | A HyoNova invoice each period, confirmed by an operator | Supported · Ready to configure |
| Stripe | Card | — | Disabled |
"Ready to configure" means the integration is built and its instance exists, but stays disabled until an operator enters the merchant account's credentials and a connection test succeeds. Nothing in HyoNova reports a provider as connected without a real, authenticated test call.
Rules every change follows#
| Permission | Allows |
|---|---|
billing.read | Seeing every billing screen, list and document |
providers.manage | Configuring provider instances, testing connections, routing |
billing.manage | Money and subscription actions, issuer profile, billing settings, reconciliation runs |
plans.manage | Price and discount mappings, commercial products and price versions |
- Step-up and reason. Every change asks you to verify your identity again (valid for five minutes) and to give a reason. The change is audited with its before and after state.
- No lost updates. Edits carry the version you loaded; if someone changed the record meanwhile, you are asked to refresh.
- Nothing twice. Bank confirmations and refunds carry a request key; repeating one returns the first result.
- Credentials stay secret. Provider credentials are written to the secret store and never shown again, logged or audited — only whether each one is configured, with a masked hint for identifiers.
What HyoNova sells#
Companies buy plans priced per licensed seat (Free, Basic, Business, and Enterprise through sales) and one-time capacity packs — Mail credits, Sign envelopes and Serene Boosts. Both go through the same checkout, orders, invoices and payments. A subscription or a pack is activated only by a verified provider event or an operator's bank confirmation, never by the browser returning from a payment page. Capacity lives in per-company credit wallets with an append-only ledger. See Commercial catalogue and Credit operations.

How HyoNova compares subscriptions with the payment provider, repairs safe differences through the normal event path, and which attention items, dunning cases and settlements need a person.

Read a company's Mail, Sign and Serene balances and ledger, grant, correct or reverse capacity with a reason and step-up, and follow capacity, pack sales and AI cost across the platform.

Payments & billing › Overview shows subscriptions by status, scheduled cancellations, companies in dunning, and per currency: MRR and ARR, money collected today and this month, refunds, net, failed payments, outstanding invoices, new and churned recurring value, and counts of upgrades, downgrades, cancellations and trial conversions. Amounts are never converted between currencies. Upgrades are counted, not valued, because the payment provider prorates them.
