Short answers based on what HyoNova offers today. Each answer links to the page with the details. When something is not available yet, the answer says so and shows its status.

About HyoNova#

What is HyoNova?#

HyoNova is a spatial workplace and company operating system. Your team works in a shared 3D office in the browser, where people appear as characters, see who is around, talk, call and meet. The same company has a 2D workspace for people, projects and tasks, customers, files, finance and reports. See What is HyoNova?.

Do I need to install anything?#

No. HyoNova runs in a current desktop browser with WebGL. You need a microphone and camera only if you want to talk or use video, and you can enter without them. See World loading if the office does not open.

How much does it cost?#

HyoNova is priced per licensed seat. Free costs nothing for up to 10 members. Basic is $6 per member per month ($5.40 billed annually), Business is $15 per member per month ($12 billed annually), and Enterprise — 100 or more seats, SSO/SCIM, compliance and custom terms — is priced with HyoNova sales. Prices are in US dollars. Owners choose and pay for a plan in Company administration → Billing, by card, PayPal, crypto or bank transfer once HyoNova has activated the payment provider behind each method. Is there a free trial?#

Yes. Every new company gets a 7-day trial of the Business plan, without a card. When it ends, nothing is charged: a company with up to 10 members continues on Free with all its data, and a larger company is asked to choose a plan — nothing is deleted. See Seats, trial and the Free plan.

Who counts as a seat?#

Internal members who hold a seat and are active, invited or pending. Guests, meeting guests, people who sign documents through HyoNova Sign without being members, and customers who chat with your support team are never seats. Adding a member is billed at once; removing one lowers the bill at the next renewal, without an automatic refund. See Seats, trial and the Free plan.

What are Mail credits, Sign envelopes and Serene credits?#

They are the capacity your company spends. One Mail credit sends to one recipient, one Sign envelope sends one signature request, and Serene credits pay for AI requests. Each plan includes a one-time amount of Mail credits and Sign envelopes, and Serene credits — monthly on paid plans — and you can buy packs valid for 12 months. Emails HyoNova sends itself, such as invitations, sign-in and billing emails, never use Mail credits. See Mail and Sign capacity and Serene credits.

Which languages does HyoNova support?#

English and Arabic. The whole interface, including the 3D office, switches between them, and Arabic uses a full right-to-left layout. Change the language in Settings. This documentation is also available in both languages.

Access and people#

Can guests join without an account?#

Yes, in two ways:

• Office guests. Owners, admins and managers create a guest link for one office world, valid for 2 to 168 hours, starting from a preset — Meeting only, Workspace visitor or Collaborator — and can require that the host approves each visitor. The guest stops at a reception — a name, any questions the company asks, a character, and acceptance of the privacy notice and visit terms — and enters without an account or password. Each guest admitted into the office is an Office Visitor and uses one prepaid Visitor Pass ($1), on plans with Office Visitors (Basic, Business and Enterprise); Meeting only links are free. In the office, guests talk with people nearby and can message only their host and the members chosen in the link. Owners and admins can later promote a trusted guest to employee. Presets, host approval, promotion and Visitors & Events are in Beta, and a Meeting only link does not lead into a meeting yet.
• Meeting guests. To bring an outside person into one meeting, a host creates a Private guest link from inside the meeting and lets the guest in. This is in Beta and works once an owner or admin has turned on Allow external guests in Company administration → Communications → Guest meetings.

How are permissions managed?#

Every member has a role. There are five standard roles — Owner, Admin, Manager, Employee and Restricted — and owners and admins can create custom roles in Company administration → Access → Roles, then choose their permissions in an editable permission matrix. The role decides what the member can see and do, and HyoNova checks it on the server for every request. Nobody can give a role, or put a permission in a custom role, that they do not hold themselves. Is there an admin console?#

Yes. Company administration in the sidebar brings your company's team, access, workspace, communications, integrations, company profile and billing together in one place. Owners and admins see all of it; managers see the overview and read-only pages; employees and restricted members do not see it. See Admin.

Can I organise people into departments and set working hours?#

Partly, in Preview. In Company administration → People, owners and admins can add and archive Departments and save the company's Working hours. Departments cannot be renamed yet, and there is no way yet to put a member into a department. Working hours are saved but not used by any other feature. See People.

Can I see who changed what?#

Yes. Owners and admins open Company administration → Company → Audit log to see invitations, role changes, company changes and guest decisions, with when and by whom. The log is read-only and cannot be exported. See Audit.

I forgot my password. Can I reset it?#

Yes, in Beta. On the sign-in page, choose Forgot your password?, enter your work email, and HyoNova emails you a link that works once for 30 minutes. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder, then contact HyoNova. Company admins cannot reset another member's password. See Sign-in and invitations.

Can I sign in with Google?#

Not yet. Continue with Google is built but not switched on. When HyoNova turns it on, the button appears on the sign-in, sign-up and invitation pages. Until then, sign in with your email and password. See Security.

Is my data isolated from other companies?#

Yes. Every company's data is kept separate from every other company's. Each request is limited to your company on the server, and the database itself enforces the separation. See Security and Privacy.

The office#

Can I build my own office?#

Partly. Owners and admins can open the office builder with Build office to add walls, glass, doors, rooms and furniture. The builder is in Preview: changes are saved only in your browser, and colleagues do not see them. You can also start from one of twelve office templates or an empty office. See Office builder.

Can I use multiple floors?#

Not yet. Every office template has one floor today. Multiple floors are planned. See Floors.

Does it work on phones?#

Not for the 3D office. On screens narrower than 600 pixels, HyoNova shows a message instead of the office. Tablets and computers work. A mobile companion is planned.

Communication and work#

Does HyoNova support video meetings?#

Yes, in Beta. You can create or schedule a meeting, join it with camera and microphone, share your screen, and use a waiting room, chat, notes and files. Recording and transcripts are planned. See Meetings.

Can I manage projects?#

Yes. In Work you create projects with a due date and tasks with a project, priority, due date and assignee, and move tasks through their statuses. Deeper project management, such as subtasks, milestones and comments, is coming soon, and boards and timelines are planned. See Work.

Email, AI and APIs#

What is Hyo Mail?#

Hyo Mail is HyoNova's email product, included in every plan. It covers email marketing — contacts, lists and segments, a drag-and-drop email builder, campaigns with A/B tests and analytics, automations and sign-up forms — and transactional email through an API. Open it from Mail in the company workspace; by default Owners and Admins have access. See Hyo Mail.

Can I send email from my own domain?#

Yes. In Mail › Settings › Domains, add your domain, connect the DNS records shown — automatically where your DNS provider supports it — and choose Verify records. Then add senders on that domain. See Senders, domains and settings.

Does HyoNova use AI?#

In one place today. The AI designer in Hyo Mail drafts and edits emails and uses your company's Serene credits. The Serene assistant, which works across your company's context, is coming soon, and AI Employees will follow as a separate product. See Email builder and templates and Serene.

Is there an API?#

Yes, for email. The Hyo Mail API lets your own systems send transactional email with API keys, read each message's status, and receive signed webhooks. A general public API for people, work and customer data, and an MCP server, are planned. See Mail API and Developers.
