Builder changes are saved in your browser and are not yet shared with your team.

Once walls, rooms and furniture are in place, the editing tools let you adjust them precisely: move and turn objects, type exact values, swap materials, copy and remove things, and step back when something goes wrong.

Select something#

Choose Select in the bottom bar (or press Esc from any other tool), then click an object, a wall or a room. The selected object is outlined in your accent colour and the Inspector shows its settings.

Move an object#

  • Drag the move handles. When an object is selected with the Select tool, move handles appear on it. Drag them to slide the object across the floor. Objects never move up or down, and with Snap on they follow the grid. You can also select Move in the Inspector to show the handles.
  • Type a position. Under Position, enter X, Y and Z in metres, then select Apply changes.

If the new spot is not allowed — outside the floor, overlapping a solid object or a wall, or off the desk it stands on — the move is refused and HyoNova tells you why.

Rotate an object#

Furniture always stays upright and faces one of four directions.

  • Select Rotate in the Inspector, or press R, to turn the selection by 90°.
  • Under Rotation, pick a direction: 0°, 90°, 180° or 270°.

Items standing on a desk or table turn and move together with it.

Scale, material and solidity#

Inspector sectionWhat you can change
NameThe object's name. It is saved when you leave the field.
ScaleX, Y and Z factors (at least 0.1). Select Apply changes to use them.
MaterialColour and finish swatches, when the item offers variants. A swatch applies straight away.
Advanced › Solid objectWhether the object blocks walking and prevents other solid objects from overlapping it.

Under Advanced you also see Attached to when the object sits on another object.

Walls and rooms have their own Inspector fields; see Walls, rooms and doors.

Duplicate and delete#

  • Duplicate (or Ctrl + D) copies the selected object and places the copy in the nearest free spot next to it, together with anything standing on it. If there is no room, you see No free space nearby. A duplicated wall appears 1 m from the original. Rooms cannot be duplicated.
  • Delete (or Delete / Backspace) removes the selection. Deleting a desk also removes what stands on it; deleting a wall removes what is mounted on it; deleting a room removes its walls.

Snap and grid#

In the bottom bar:

  • Snap turns grid snapping on or off for walls, rooms, placement and the move handles.
  • The grid size menu sets the step: 0.25 m, 0.5 m or 1 m.
  • Grid shows or hides the grid lines on the floor.

Undo and redo#

Select Undo or Redo in the bottom bar, or press Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Shift + Z. The builder keeps up to 100 steps of history.

Camera#

The builder opens in the isometric view. Drag with the right mouse button to orbit and use the mouse wheel to zoom. See Navigation for the other camera controls.

Keyboard shortcuts#

On a Mac, use Cmd where the table says Ctrl.
