Worlds and spaces
What an office world is in HyoNova, the twelve templates you can start from, how rooms and floors are organised, and how office addresses work.
On this page
A world is a shared 3D office that belongs to your company. Members enter it from the browser, appear as characters, and meet, talk and open their work there. This page explains how a world is made, which templates you can start from and how office addresses work.
Worlds, rooms and floors#
Each world is organised in three levels:
| Level | What it is |
|---|---|
| World | The whole office, for example "Head office". A company can have one or more worlds, depending on its plan. |
| Floor | A level of the office. Every office has one floor today; offices with several floors are planned. |
| Room | A named area on a floor, such as a meeting room, a focus room or the reception, with a type and a capacity. See Rooms. |
Inside rooms and open areas you find furniture and objects: chairs you can sit on, doors, screens and decoration. See Seats, doors and screens.
Office templates#
When an owner or admin creates the company office, they choose a ready-made template. Each template card shows the recommended team size, capacity, number of rooms and number of floors, and you can open a preview before choosing.
| Template | Recommended team size |
|---|---|
| Executive Suite | 1–10 |
| Minimal Workspace | 1–10 |
| Café Office | 1–10 |
| Modern Office | 11–25 |
| Startup Loft | 11–25 |
| Creative Studio | 11–25 |
| Garden House | 11–25 |
| Majlis Office | 11–25 |
| Social Hub | 26–50 |
| Training Center | 26–50 |
| Events Venue | 51–100 |
| Company Campus | 101–250 |
You can also choose Start empty for a blank floor that you build yourself. All templates have one floor. Some templates include built-in characters, such as a reception host or a barista; they carry a Host tag and are not members of your team.
Why templates#
A template gives your team a working office from the first minute: rooms with sensible capacities, meeting rooms where Meet here works, desks with chairs and a reception area to arrive in. You can adjust the layout later in the office builder, which is in Preview.
Who can create a world#
Owners and admins create the company office during company setup, in the Your office world step of the welcome wizard:
- Choose a template. Pick one of the template cards. The step shows Worlds used against the number of worlds your plan allows.
- Name the office. Enter a World name, for example your company name or "Head office".
- Create it. Select Create office. When you see Your office is ready., continue with Next.
If you select Skip for now instead, the company has no office yet and the company workspace shows No office world yet. If your plan has no more worlds left, the step shows Your plan has no more office worlds. Managers, employees and restricted members do not see this step; they enter the office the company already has.
If you started with the instant trial at app.hyonova.com/start, the office you explored becomes your company office when you claim the workspace. See the quickstart.
One world or several#
Most companies use one office. When your plan allows more than one world, each one appears under Office worlds on the Home page of the company workspace, and you choose between them in the Office world selector at the top of the dashboard before selecting Enter the office. Inside an office, other worlds of your company appear under Worlds in search, with Open world. See Map and search.
The number of worlds, like the number of seats, is set by your company plan. See Billing and plans.
Office addresses#
Every company has a short address in HyoNova, and every office has its own address inside it:
app.hyonova.com/your-companyopens the company's Default office.app.hyonova.com/your-company/office-nameopens a specific office.
Owners and admins manage these under Settings › Address & domains in the company workspace: Company address, Office world addresses and Default office. Addresses use lowercase letters, digits and single hyphens. When you change the company address, the previous one keeps redirecting to the new one. Renaming the company never changes its address. See Company settings.
Anyone who opens an office address must still be signed in as a member with access, or arrive with a valid guest link.
Live office, guest visits and the trial#
The same world can be opened in three ways. The caption at the bottom of the screen shows which one you are in:
| Caption | Who | What is different |
|---|---|---|
| Live | Members of your company | Everyone sees each other in real time. The server checks movement, seats, doors and room capacity. |
| Guest visit | Visitors with a guest link | One office only, with no company workspace. See Guests. |
| Demo | The instant trial | Only you and the built-in host characters. Teleport and the builder are open to try. |
