Recording and transcripts

This page explains what exists today, what is planned, and how to keep a record of a meeting in the meantime.

What you see today#

Every meeting has a Recording tab, headed Recording & transcripts. It says "Everyone in the meeting must agree before recording starts." and, for your company, "Recording is not set up for your company." The Start recording button cannot be used.

Nothing in a HyoNova call or meeting is recorded:

• No audio, video or shared screen is saved.
• No transcript is written.
• Spatial voice in the office is never recorded.

What is saved with a meeting is what participants type or attach on purpose: the meeting chat, the host's notes, the agenda and attached files. See Meetings.

What is planned#

Company roles already describe who will be allowed to record meetings and to read recordings and transcripts, so access will follow the same roles you use today. How recordings are stored, for how long, and what they cost will be published when the features are released.

Keep a record of a meeting today#

1. Write an agenda when you create the meeting, so everyone knows what it is for.
2. Take notes in Meeting notes & decisions and choose Save notes. Notes are saved with the meeting and searchable from Search meetings and notes. (Saving notes needs a host or co-host with the Owner, Admin or Manager role.)
3. Turn decisions into tasks with Create task in the Notes tab, so follow-ups land in Work.
4. Share documents in the meeting's Files tab.
5. Use the meeting chat for links and short decisions; it stays with the meeting.

If you record a meeting with another tool, tell everyone first and follow your company's rules and the law where you work.
